A Cool Change
Sydneysiders (and the rest of the Southern Hemisphere) are saying goodbye to wearing next to nothing, summer salads and what has been a very humid summer. Despite Autumn making itself known with this sudden cold snap, reminding us that it’s all over, I have my fingers crossed that there will be a few more beach days still.
Maybe I’m being a bit dramatic because it certainly it won’t be as cold as the recent winter Europeans have just suffered. So looking on the bright side, it’s time to start purchasing cozy coats and scarves, settling in with warming, hearty soups and getting under the covers rather than (if you’re like me) kicking them to the floor each night.
What are you looking forward to most this winter?

Feeling the Love…
Although this time last year (almost) the boyfriend and I spent Valentines Day relaxing and pampering ourselves at the Radisson on O’Connell Street, this year we’re celebrating a few days early, that is tomorrow night. We’re heading to a Japanese restaurant in Surry Hills whose menu I cannot stop dreaming about. On Saturday night, I’m ditching the man and spending the night with the girls.
So even though the concept of Valentine’s Day might have Hallmark stamped all over it, I hope you have a fabulous weekend filled with love wherever you are and whoever you spend it with.
Pyrite and Pom Poms
I love finding something new to add to my always-expanding bookmark list.
Today’s find The Vamoose, a blog by Kathryn Blackmore. I was so inspired by the photographs of her handmade jewellery, I headed on over to her etsy shop and purchased my very own Kathryn Blackmore creation. Isn’t it gorgeous? I have big plans for this necklace.
The Vamoose is definitely one for my bookmarks!
My Mr. Knightley…
In my mind, BBC’s 1996 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice will always be my clear favourite but I stayed up very late to watch all four episodes of their 2009 Emma miniseries starring Romola Garai and Jonny Lee Miller. I adore all the empire-line dresses and riding jackets and of course, the love between Emma and her Mr. Knightley. I think I was born in the wrong era.
