Pyrite and Pom Poms

8 Feb

I love finding something new to add to my always-expanding bookmark list.

Today’s find The Vamoose, a blog by Kathryn Blackmore. I was so inspired by the photographs of her handmade jewellery, I headed on over to her etsy shop and purchased my very own Kathryn Blackmore creation. Isn’t it gorgeous? I have big plans for this necklace.

The Vamoose is definitely one for my bookmarks!

This poor blog has been suffering from a slight case of neglect.

Due to the fact I’ve been enjoying my job so much (a really great and very welcome change to what I was going through earlier in the year), I come home with only enough energy to tweet and catch up on Glee and Gossip Girl.  However it’s a rather humid but wet Sunday and I’ve got a dusty head and nothing to do but sit under my air conditioner, hoping and praying that this horrible Spring weather takes leave of us Sydneysiders very soon.

In the meantime, here are a few of the blogs that I’ve been loving lately; Deeelightful, What Is Reality Anyway? and The Cherry Blossom Girl. All of these bloggers are fabulous women with wardrobes to envy and I promise you, they update a lot more frequently than I do!

What about you readers? What are your favourite blogs?

I’ve been under house arrest for a a couple of weeks now since swine flu is running rampant in Sydney and during this time I’ve been keeping myself entertained with Lamebook.

Some of the content will make you shake your head in disbelief and the rest will have you in stitches, like the example below.

Everyone Get Involved!

Hello folks.

I really am dropping the ball when it comes to blogging. I’ve been working as a teacher’s aide, studying to teach overseas and sleeping in between. But you don’t want to hear about my dull life so get ready for some audience participation!

At the moment I’m obsessed with Tumblr; microblogging pretty little things that keep me inspired for days on end. If you’re a shoe lover, and how can you not be, you should check out Sea of Shoes and drool over Jane’s unbelievable shoe collection. And if that’s not awesome enough, her Mum has an equally  to-die-for shoe collection and also blogs. I wonder if I could convince my Mum to start blogging. I love blog-hunting, what are some of your favourite blogs?

For those of you who have a real illness and aren’t interested in shoes (I kid, sort of), check out London from above, at night for some amazing photographs of one of my favourite cities in the world. They’re absolutely magic.

As I’m sure everyone and their dog knows by now, Michael Jackson passed away this week. My sister broke the news by bounding into my room at full speed on Friday morning. Thanks to MJ, my sister and I spent many afternoons creating dance routines to his hits in our living room. Bonding time at its best.

Now his CD sales have risen,  the music videos are all the web and the tributes are everywhere. Despite all the craziness that surrounded MJ, nobody can deny his King of Pop status. Everyone has a favourite Michael Jackson song, what’s yours?

I’m working a bit this week (my Mum is my boss so there’s no slacking off here) and I know I say this every time but I will try and post more often. I want to know how YOU are doing though, let me know.
